A House Fire in a Tampa Suburb Killed Two Small Children and Their Father According to officials, the fire started Monday afternoon in a mobile home on Pritcher Road. A 5-year-old boy, his newborn sister, and their father died in a mobile home fire in Lithia on Monday, while their brother and mother were brought to the hospital. It occurred in a small mobile home park at approximately 1:00 p.m. on the 8600 block of Pritcher Road, just east of the Polk County line. According to Hillsborough County Sheriff's officials, mother Veronica Bermudez, 22, told authorities that she and her husband, Angel Lopez Sr., 22, were sleeping when their 3-year-old son Elijah woke them up and stated the stove was on fire. Bermudez grabbed the youngster and headed for an exit. She and Elijah escaped from their burning home, but her husband and their two other children did not. This is a sad story. Read more.
